Firefighters saved a home in Stamford, but now investigators say the fire was intentional
Firefighters saved a home in Stamford, but now investigators say the fire was intentional. On Friday morning, the Stamford Fire Department responded to a home on Mill Road to find heavy smoke. They were able to save the home. An investigation by the Vermont Department of Public Safety Fire & Explosion Investigation Unit found the cause of the fire to be arson. They say Joseph Pallas, 31, set the fire on purpose. He was cited on charges of first-degree arson and insurance fraud and will be in court in February.
