Franconia Contractor Indicted for Violent Attack in Littleton
A Franconia contractor is facing serious charges following an alleged violent attack in Littleton last August. Nicholas Rideout, 31, owner of Rideout Construction, has been indicted on six charges, including first-degree assault with a deadly weapon and reckless conduct. Prosecutors say he attacked a man with a metal pipe and later used his pickup truck as a weapon, dangerously braking in front of another vehicle on Interstate 93. Authorities also allege Rideout attempted to evade responsibility, failing to report the incident and giving false information to police. Rideout has a history of legal trouble, including a prior felony burglary conviction in Maine. His arraignment and bail hearing are scheduled for April 14.
