Franklin County Cold Case: 21 Years Later, Search for Brianna Maitland Continues

A notorious Franklin County cold case happened 21 years ago and authorities and the victim’s family are still searching for answers. Seventeen-year-old Brianna Maitland left her job at the Black Lantern Inn in Montgomery on the evening of March 19, 2004, and was never seen again. Her car was found the next day about a mile from the restaurant, backed into an old building. On the 20th anniversary of her disappearance last year the FBI announced a $40,000 reward for information leading to resolution of the case. Police say they also continuously gather tips and information.
