Judge Michael R. Kainen has sentenced Parker Lovell

Judge Michael R. Kainen has sentenced Parker Lovell. After a contested sentencing in Essex Superior Court last week, the judge issued a sentence of 5-15 years, all suspended, except for 750 days to serve. But Lovell, 25, of Maidstone, reached the 750 days on Monday due to over two years he already spent in prison in pre-trial detention. Officials say Lovell planned to move to Sheffield, but probation and parole did not approve the residence. So he is now living in an approved residence in Newport. Lovell is now being supervised by Newport Probation & Parole. Lovell was convicted by plea agreement last week for beating and strangling a 24-year-old woman in 2020.
