Jurors on Thursday convicted a Vermont man of having a homemade bomb
Jurors on Thursday convicted a Vermont man of having a homemade bomb. Tyler Hayes, 42, of Bennington, was convicted of two charges after he illegally possessed a bomb. Court records show the bomb was found in Hayes’ Bennington home days after he abandoned the property. Witnesses at his trial described him talking about and building bombs for months, and offering to trade a bomb for fentanyl. Hayes faces up to 15 years in prison. His sentencing date has not yet been set. Hayes has been behind bars since his arrest last January.
