Man Arrested After Snowmobile Chase in Essex County

A dramatic police pursuit through snow-covered terrain in Essex County. Multiple law enforcement agencies worked together late Friday night into early Saturday morning to apprehend 33-year-old Joshua Chase of Concord. Chase is accused of firing a shotgun outside a residence on Oregon Road before leading authorities on a 4.5-mile pursuit. Authorities say Chase initially fled on a snowmobile before crashing and attempting to escape on foot. Vermont State Police, Essex County Sheriff’s deputies, and Lyndonville Police officers established a perimeter and tracked Chase through deep snow before arresting him without incident. He now faces multiple charges, including first-degree aggravated domestic assault, unlawful mischief, and prohibited possession of a firearm. Chase is currently being held at Northeast Regional Correctional Facility and is scheduled to appear in Essex Superior Court on April 15.
