Officers with the Hardwick Police Department

Officers with the Hardwick Police Department are investigating separate burglaries in town they believe were committed by the same person on Monday morning. About 4:45 a.m. on Monday police learned that a buglary occurred at Kwik Stop. Entry had been gained by smashing the glass of a door. Cartons of cigarettes and lottery tickets were stolen. The male suspect also disabled the electrical meter. He reportedly left the scene in a newer tan Toyota Tacoma 4 door truck, and about the same period of time the vehicle was at the scene of another burglary at Authentic Log Homes on Rt. 14. The businesses are about three minutes apart by vehicle. Several Husqvarna chain saws and gas cans were stolen from Authentic Log Homes. Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Hardwick Police Department.
