Police are seeking information about the March 19 theft of a snowmobile from Walt’s Sales and Service on Route 5 in Derby. The stolen sled, is a red 2022 Lynx Rave 850 belonging to Joshua Allaire, 34, of Morrisville. It was stolen at about 1:08 a.m. from the customer’s trailer parked in the lot of Walt’s Sales & Service. Bearing VT registration 2373, the snowmobile’s engine has manufacturer serial number MC019113. A small vehicle was seen on security video driving from Beebe Road to Route 5, and individuals were seen accessing the trailers on the property at approximately 12:20am. A different, larger vehicle returned at 1:08 a.m., and an individual exited the vehicle, removed the snowmobile from the trailer, then drove it from the scene east on the VAST trail adjacent to Walt’s.
