Police say a man intentionally drove into a police cruiser with two children under 2 in the back seat of his car. Colchester police said Saturday morning, they tried to pull over a car driven by Daniel Lambert, 21, of St. Albans. Officers said he ignored the lights and sirens, blew through an intersection and got stuck on a dead-end road. Police said after Lambert turned around in a driveway, he intentionally hit the cop car on his way by. When police finally pulled over the car, they found two children in car seats in the back seat. Lambert appeared in court Monday morning accused of gross negligent driving and endangering the welfare of children. He pleaded not guilty and was released on conditions.
