Police took four students into custody after a handgun scare
Police took four students into custody after a handgun scare at an Upper Valley high school. Stevens High School was placed on lockdown Tuesday afternoon after staffers reported students may have had a gun. Other nearby schools were also locked down out of caution. Authorities thoroughly searched the building at Stevens High School and found four students involved, along with what turned out to be a fake firearm. The students were taken into custody, but we don’t know what if any charges they face as police are not releasing their names because of their ages. Claremont police say the investigation is ongoing.
