Robert Keenan Jailed After Allegedly Stealing Second Vehicle Following Bail Release

Days after being released on bail, a local man is alleged to have stolen a second vehicle in Littleton one month after stealing the first. Robert Keenan, 21, who has listed his towns of residence as Lunenburg and Milford, N.H., is currently behind bars on preventive detention as he faces charges on both sides of the river. One of those charges in New Hampshire accuses him of stealing a gun that was inside the stolen pickup truck weeks after he was charged with stealing a gun from his grandfather. A Caledonia Superior Court arraignment hearing for his first batch of Vermont charges that was scheduled for Monday was postponed. The arraignment was to be for a previous incident on March 16, when Keenan is alleged to have stolen the first vehicle, a 2006 Land Rover, from Cumberland Farms in Littleton, and crashed it into a residential driveway in St. Johnsbury. In Vermont, he faces four misdemeanor counts of leaving the scene of a crash involving property damage, driving a vehicle without the owner’s consent, driving after suspension stemming from a DUI, and violating the conditions of release for a prior criminal offense.
