Several people are recovering after a boat crash

DERBY, Vt. – Several people are recovering after a boat crash on Lake Memphremagog. Police say it happened around 10p.m. Saturday night when a passenger boat traveling between Black Island and Bell Island struck several large boulders and trees. Several passengers were ejected from the boat, and the driver was severely injured. A boat nearby responded to the crash before emergency crews got there, and helped everyone from the boat and took them to Derby, where crews transported them to the hospital. The driver is being treated for life threatening injuries, and the other passengers are being treated for non life threatening injuries. Police say anyone who saw the crash should contact them.
