State, local and federal authorities made their presence known at a Higgins Hill Road address
State, local and federal authorities made their presence known at a Higgins Hill Road address Thursday morning as members of the Vermont Drug Task Force, Homeland Security Investigations, FBI, and the St. Johnsbury Police Department executed a court-authorized search warrant at 714 Higgins Hill Road, where they discovered drugs, firearms, cash, and at least one person to arrest. Jose Rodriquez, 30, Springfield, Mass., was taken into custody and faces a charge of trafficking fentanyl, according to a report from Det. Sgt. Karl Gardner. The raid began at the property about 6 a.m. The property has multiple structures, including a mobile home and two campers. Det. Sgt. Gardner said the warrant applied to all dwelling structures on the property, which is owned by Andy Dwyer. “A large amount of Fentanyl and crack cocaine was located and seized,” reported Det. Sgt. Gardner. The search also led to the discovery of multiple firearms and cash. The items were found in the mobile home, he said.
