State Police are looking to identify the driver of a Ford Mustang that ended up submerged in a pond off Route 100 in Lowell Tuesday. According to police, the crash occurred just before noon near Stephenson Road on Route 100 when the unknown operator of the 1996 Ford Mustang lost control, left the roadway and crashed into the pond. The vehicle was completely submerged, but the driver was reportedly unharmed, got out of the vehicle and left on foot in an unknown direction. The driver was the only occupant of the vehicle, say police.
