The driver of a vehicle may have been forced off the road
The driver of a vehicle that overturned off Interstate 91 on Wednesday afternoon may have been forced off the road. State Police reported that witnesses say an older model silver or white vehicle that was moving erratically and aggressively on the interstate could be responsible for forcing a Subaru Outback driven by Bettylou Sherry, 83, of Danville, off the road at milemarker 134. The car travelled down the embankment on the side of the interstate and rolled to its roof into some trees. CALEX EMS personnel were quick to the scene of the crash that occurred just after 1:30 p.m. Sherry had exited the vehicle herself. Medical personnel met with her and determined that she was not injured. No rear impact damage could be seen on the car, but there was a mark on the driver’s side that could be paint transfer from another vehicle making contact, according to State Police. Police asks anyone with information related to the crash, including information about a light-colored vehicle moving aggressively in that area at the time of the crash, to call the barracks in St. Johnsbury at 802-748-3111.
