The U.S.-Canada border crossing in Derby Line was closed yesterday
The U.S.-Canada border crossing in Derby Line was closed yesterday afternoon because of a suspicious package. A spokesperson for Customs and Border Protection says CBP responded to a threat regarding a suspicious package and confirmed the port of entry was closed. State Police say the bomb squad responded to assist Customs and Border Protection with the incident. Traffic was being diverted to other crossings like Route 5, Beebe Plain and Norton. Police say the northbound lanes of Interstate 91 north of Exit 27 were closed as part of that investigation
