Three people were injured in a collision
DALTON — Three people were injured in a collision during the fourth annual Mike & Jacqueline Benefit Ride on Saturday, Sept. 14. According to event organizers the Flyin’ Iron Motorcycle Club, the accident occurred when the rider of one bike ran into another carrying a husband and wife on Route 135 in Dalton. The husband was airlifted to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center with multiple fractures and lacerations, the wife suffered “a couple of broken ribs,” and the third person had scrapes and bruises but was otherwise OK. Club officials said the rider who inadvertently struck the couple was “inexperienced.” The event honors Michael, 35, and Jacqueline George, 36, of Jefferson, parents of six who were killed in a motorcycle accident on Route 116 in Bethlehem on Aug. 29, 2021. Michael was a Flyin’ Iron member.
