Vermont authorities on Thursday released the latest semiannual report
Vermont authorities on Thursday released the latest semiannual report of internal investigations involving the Vermont State Police. The report by the State Police Advisory Commission and Department of Public Safety includes 17 complaints from July through December of last year. Thirteen of the cases were reported internally, while four came from community members. Officials determined that seven State Police members violated policies involving cruisers and recording equipment. Eight claims were deemed unfounded. Two troopers resigned in cases involving an allegation of being untruthful during an investigation and an allegation of using department money to pay for personal services.
