Vermont Leads Nation Again With Over 3 Million Gallons of Maple Syrup Produced
New numbers show Vermont continues to lead the nation in maple syrup production. More than 3 million gallons of the sweet stuff were made in Vermont in 2025, which state agriculture officials say it about on par with the last two years. We also now know that maple syrup production made $95 million in 2024, up $16 million compared to 2023. “Vermont’s maple producers have weathered a wild ride this season. With so many starts and stops during the sap runs, it wasn’t easy—but once again, they’ve delivered a high-quality, sweet product for the world to enjoy,” Vermont Agriculture Secretary Anson Tebbetts said in a statement. The average retail price per gallon in 2024 was $58.30.
