Vermont State Police are asking for the public to help them locate a man who pointed a gun at two women in Troy on Tuesday evening after they confronted him in the process of breaking into a vehicle. It was on the Loop Road, Trooper Logan Miller reported, that a man wearing a zip-up hooded sweatshirt, dark jeans and a baseball hat was seen in the process of breaking into a vehicle. When confronted,  the man reportedly pointed a gun at them, the trooper stated. Police responded about 7:45 p.m., and before they got there the male left on foot. The trooper reported that the man committed the offense of reckless endangerment by pointing the gun at the women. “No other reports were received, and this appears to be an isolated incident,” stated Trooper Miller.
