Vermont State Police are asking for the public to share any information related to the discovery of a 27-year-old man found dead on the side of the road in Jay Tuesday evening. Police reported they will not provide the name of the man until family has been notified. According to the report by Detective Trooper Joshua Lewis, the man’s body was found at 5:55 p.m. on Tuesday on the side of the road near the intersection of Gendron and Pine Grove roads in Jay. The trooper stated that there were no obvious signs of trauma on the body. It was taken to the Chief Medical Examiner’s Office in Burlington for an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death. Anyone with information that could assist investigators in this case is asked to call the Vermont State Police in Derby at 802-334-8881. “Investigators would especially like to speak with anyone who drove through the area prior to the discovery of the body, or who saw anything unusual or suspicious in the area,” Det.
