VSP investigating a Feb. 1 accident in which a pedestrian checking her tires was struck by another vehicle

Vermont State Police are investigating a Feb. 1 accident in which a pedestrian checking her tires while on the side of Nelson Hill Rd. in Derby, was struck by another vehicle. At about 11:45 a.m., while Samantha Hill, 24, of Charleston was walking to get back in her vehicle, police said a tan/brown newer pick-up truck, possibly a Toyota, with a white or black stripe down the middle of it, struck her and continued to travel west on Nelson Hill Rd.  Hill was treated at North Country Hospital for minor injuries.
