White Mountains Regional High School reported strong compliance with its cell phone policy

WHITEFIELD — White Mountains Regional High School reported strong compliance with its cell phone policy at the start of the school year. Co-principal Patsy Ainsworth told the school board on Thursday that most students were following the policy prohibiting cell phone use in the classroom. Ainsworth said that, on average, only one student per day at the 370-student high school has been cited for violating the policy. There have been no repeat offenders. In response to concerns over lax enforcement, the district leadership team this summer revised the policy to ensure rigid, uniform enforcement for all students in grades 9-12 for the 2024-25 school year.
