Vermont State Police arrested a Kirby man
Vermont State Police arrested a Kirby man on alleged crimes of attempted murder, attempted sexual assault and felony domestic assault. 18 year old, Charles Hunt Jr., is being held without bail in the Northeast Correctional Complex in St. Johnsbury. Trooper Adam Aremburg reports that state police were alerted to an emergency at a home in Kirby on Tuesday morning. Troopers responded and determined that a 53-year-old household member suffered pain from an assault by Hunt and that Hunt attempted to murder and sexually assault the victim. He was arrested and taken to the state police barracks before being jailed. Hunt’s arraignment was set for Wednesday in Caledonia Superior Court.
