The Vermont Department of Environmental Conservation is looking for a few good volunteers to keep the state’s water bodies clean. The Vermont Lakes and Ponds program is seeking summer volunteers to help greet visitors, inspect boats, collect water samples and track algae blooms. With more than 800 ponds and lakes in Vermont, the DEC says volunteers are vital.
