Judge Michael R. Kainen said in December that if Jeremy Currier didn’t appear in court in January, he would issue an arrest warrant. Currier, 47, has been charged with two felonies and one misdemeanor charge. He didn’t show up on Monday, and Judge Kainen issued a warrant with $500 bail. Currier is accused of setting up a roadblock on Burroughs Road and attempting to assault a state trooper with a log. Currier, who lives on Burroughs Road in Wheelock, has a mental health issue, according to defense attorney Jennifer Cleveland. Currier has been charged by the state with felony aggravated assault on a police officer and carrying a dangerous weapon while committing a felony. Currier has also been charged with misdemeanor resisting arrest.  “He does not have a phone, the postal service will no longer deliver to his home. Currier is facing a possible sentence of up to 22 years in prison and $11,000 in fines.
