A 63-year-old Peacham  man from who touched a 15-year-old girl would not admit his crimes to a sex offender therapist. Ronald Craig was originally sentenced on a lewd & lascivious conviction for zero-3 months, all suspended, with three years of probation. Craig was also supposed to see a sex offenders therapist. The  conviction was a three-year deferred sentence, which means that the conviction could be wiped from Craig’s record if he complies with all the terms of his probation. Three months later, his probation officer charged Craig with violating probation. Craig has recently spent 56 days in jail at Northeast Correctional Complex in St. Johnsbury. On Thursday, Craig was sentenced to 18 months to five years, all suspended except for 60 days, with credit for time served. Judge Kainen  said “I’m going to re-impose the conditions of probation which includes sex offender treatment.” And “I’m going to add a no alcohol condition…If you mess up, you don’t accept responsibility, you blame her for what you did to her, you’re gonna do the 18 months to five years.”
