Over a pound of methamphetamine was found in a camper

Over a pound of methamphetamine was found in a camper at 2150 River Road in Lunenburg. Nathan Lounsbury, 33, and Danielle Leach, 37, were arrested by the Essex County Sheriff’s Department and were held on bail by Judge Michael R. Kainen.  Lounsbury pleaded not guilty to the charges. On March 19, Judge Michael R. Kainen granted the search warrant for the camper which was the residence of Lounsbury and Leach. The Sheriff’s Department was also looking for a missing man identified as Russell Matheson, who was reported missing by his famiy. During the execution of the warrant there were several purses belonging to Leach and some included illicit substances and scales covered in a white powder. Also Found in Leach’s purse was also a Venmo card and EBT card belonging to Tina Perkins, a known addict and an EBT card belonging to Russell Matheson, a known addict and Dominic Sumner. Deputy Sheriff Matthew Thomas knocked on the camper’s door, and asked about Russell Matheson. Lounsbury said he left about three in the morning but he didn’t see which direction Matheson was going when he left. “Sheriff Colby removed a small clear container containing a singular rock-like substance from his sweatshirt pocket. Lounsbury was taken into custody as they had located a loaded rifle inside the camper leaned against the bed. Lounsbury is a prohibited person and is not allowed to possess firearms. Sheriff Colby located a Smith and Wesson handgun and a Taurus 9mm Handgun under the pillows on the bed. Lounsbury faces a possible sentence of over 49 years in prison and over $1.25 million dollars in fines. Leach faces a possible sentence of 45 years in prison and over $1.25 million dollars in fines.
