A man formerly employed locally in emergency medical services pleaded not guilty
A man formerly employed locally in emergency medical services pleaded not guilty in Caledonia Superior Court on Monday to lewd conduct with a child. Erik Carmago, 34, of Weymouth, Mass, is accused of committing the felony offense in Burke on May 26 by allegedly touching the genitals of a 13-year-old boy. The hearing was brief, with Camargo agreeing to a short list of release conditions, one of which is an order that he stay away from the alleged victim. Vermont State Police Sgt. Drew Cota investigated the allegations that led to the charge. His affidavit notes that the incident happened in the boy’s bedroom.
