A man is charged with multiple felonies and misdemeanors

A man is charged with multiple felonies and misdemeanors after recklessly driving through Burlington, fleeing officers, hitting several cars and damaging property. Burlington police say around noon Friday, they received a report of a beige Ford F-250 operating erratically, in the area of Riverside Avenue. They say they later identified that driver as 48-year-old Thomas O’Halloran. Police tried to stop the car on Riverside Ave, but O’Halloran swerved – striking parked vehicles – and escaped. The truck was briefly hung up on a gravestone at St. Joseph’s cemetery and police caught up, but that did not end the chase, he reversed, hit a Burlington cruiser and eventually got stuck in a ditch and fled on foot, but police apprehended him. He is being held on $10,000 bail and will appear in court this morning.
