A man to have stolen a pickup truck
A man who was previously charged with stealing vehicles and is alleged in November to have stolen a pickup truck in Newport, has now been charged in New Hampshire for a high-speed police chase involving the truck that occurred a week later in Bethlehem. In the January round of felony indictments delivered at Grafton Superior Court, Harold Nadeau Jr., 48, whose listed addresses include Cherry Valley Road in Bethlehem and Charleston, Vt., was indicted on a Class B felony count of reckless conduct with a deadly weapon and Class A felony count of receiving stolen property. On Nov. 13 in Bethlehem, Nadeau is accused of recklessly engaging in conduct that placed a Bethlehem motorist in danger of serious bodily injury when he drove at more than 80 mph in a 35 mph and passing the motorist in a no-passing zone while attempting to elude the police. The felony count of theft charges Nadeau with possessing the stolen Ford F-250 pickup truck that belonged to Samuel Peters. According to the case summary, Nadeau also faces Class A misdemeanor counts of disobeying a police officer and driving after suspension and a violation for driving an unregistered vehicle. Initially held for lack of $25,000 cash bail, his bail was later set at $10,000 cash with conditions.
