A Ryegate woman was issued a court citation after being charged December 2

A Ryegate woman was issued a court citation after being charged December 2 with DUI, and possession of narcotics & regulated drugs. While checking on a suspicious vehicle reported by a passer-by on Barnet Road in Barnet, police observed Randi Perry, 38, of Ryegate to be unconscious. The vehicle was still in drive at the edge of a downhill road at an intersection. Troopers safely removed Perry from the vehicle without collision. She was arrested for suspicion of DUI-Drugs after sobriety tests. Further investigation showed that Perry was also in possession of drugs. It was Perry’s second run in with the law in 10 days. On November 22 she allegedly was behind the wheel of a vehicle that rolled into the exterior of the town of St. Johnsbury vault. She told police she “blacked out” and doesn’t remember how or why the car ended up where it did. Sgt. Lester Cleary of the St. Johnsbury Police Department said at the time, the reason for Perry blacking out was not clear, but he saw no indication of impairment due to drugs or alcohol.
