A suspect who allegedly car-jacked a vehicle was apprehended by Hardwick Police

A suspect who allegedly car-jacked a woman’s vehicle was apprehended by Hardwick Police. Forrest Foster Jr, 42, failed to appear in Court on Oct. 30 for arraignment on charges of felony assault & robbery and aggravated vehicle operation without the owner’s consent. Hardwick Police recently located Foster at his father’s house. On Aug. 18, at 7:21 a.m., Vermont State Police were contacted by the alleged victim, Ashley McManus, 43, who told police she was assaulted and her vehicle was stolen. She said she was flagged down by two people in the road. A female jumped into the passenger seat and began rummaging through her vehicle. McManus was pulled from her vehicle by the male, thrown to the ground, and the male then drove away with her vehicle.  Foster Jr. is facing a possible sentence of up to 15 years in prison and a $2,000 fine.
