A St. Johnsbury man, Rafael Ortiz, 46, faces state and federal charges

A St. Johnsbury man, Rafael Ortiz, 46, faces state and federal charges after being arrested in Lyndonville for allegedly robbing Dylan Brink, 24, on Railroad Street. Ortiz is accused of robbing Brink at gunpoint on May 7, 2021, in the parking lot of Horizon’s Deli. According to the agreement, Ortiz is charged with possessing heroin, fentanyl and cocaine base with the intent to distribute and knowingly possessing a firearm related to a drug trafficking crime. His sentencing will occur in U.S. District Court on Feb. 5, 2024, at 2:30 p.m.
