Ground Breaks on Vermonts Largest Child Care Center in Randolph

A facility slated to become the largest child care center in Vermont is taking shape. Officials gathered on Tuesday for the groundbreaking of the new Woodlands Campus Child Care Center just off Route 66 in Randolph. It will offer 88 spaces for children and be run by the Orange County Parent Center. It’s funded in part by state money from the Vermont Child Care Act, passed in 2023, as well as federal and local funding sources. Child care officials say the facility is badly needed in the area, as there are few options.
