Police say a New Hampshire man who was arrested for making a mess

Police say a New Hampshire man who was arrested for making a mess inside a convenience store returned to the scene of the alleged crime and drove his car through the front door. Police responded to the Big Apple Store in Lancaster around 10 p.m. on Thursday for a man allegedly throwing bottles, ripping down signs and pushing the cash register. Richard Ruddy, 35, of Lancaster, was arrested after throwing a carton of cigarettes at an officer. He was charged with felony criminal mischief and was released on condition that he not return to the Big Apple Store. But after Ruddy was released, police say he returned to the scene of the crime and drove into the store. Ruddy was arrested for the second time and a judge ordered that he be held under preventive detention.
