Three people arrested on federal drug charges were indicted

Three people arrested on federal drug charges as part of an investigation into the fatal shooting of an Orleans County woman found in the Missisquoi River in Troy, were indicted by a federal grand jury this week. The federal grand jury charged Bryanna Rooney, Thomas Rooney and Jakiy Tramaine Corey Keith (aka “AB’) for allegedly distributing cocaine and fentanyl. Jakiy Tramaine Corey Keith is also accused of carrying and using firearms during a drug trafficking crime. In another count, Bryanna Rooney and Thomas Rooney allegedly managed and controlled a place located at 7201 Vermont Route 100 in Troy and used the residence “for unlawful manufacturing, storing, distributing, and using cocaine and fentanyl.” The government also included a forfeiture notice of $11,458.00 in U.S. cash. The three suspects have not been charged with the murder of Kayla Wright, 29, of Derby who was shot multiple times and at least once in the head. The investigation into that murder continues.
