Two men have been charged with felony possession of cocaine
Two men have been charged with felony possession of cocaine after the St. Johnsbury Police Department raided two apartments at 1214 Main Street. Xavion Martin, 22, homeless, and Luke McKinnie, 20, of Springfield, Massachusetts, pleaded not guilty to the charges in Court. Several officers executed a search warrant on apartments #1 and #2. Police said they executed the warrant at the residence of Alicia Alling, 39, and her boyfriend Steven Turcotte, 45. Both had active arrest warrants, said police. Off. Johnson said “I made my way to apartment 2 and through the window to the roof of 1216 Main Street where I located Luke McKinnie and Xavion Martin.” :Approximately 10 feet away from Martin and McKinnie were multiple white, hardened, powdery clumps and small plastic baggies.” “A short distance away from the McKinnie I located Turcotte hiding behind a cooling unit.” Police tested a sample of the substance and it tested positive as cocaine. Both face possible sentences of up to ten years in prison and $250,000 in fines.
