A habitual offender who has lived on both sides of the river is wanted by authorities after being released on bail and then failing to appear in court to face charges for ramming her car into a state police cruiser. In August, Abigail Ordway, 39 — whose most recent town of residence is listed as Littleton, was arrested on Class B felony charges of reckless conduct with a deadly weapon, criminal mischief, driving after being certified a habitual offender, and fentanyl possession, Class A misdemeanor counts of aggravated driving under the influence, attempting to elude police, unlawful conduct after an accident, and disobeying a police officer. On Aug. 21, New Hampshire State Police responded to County Road in Haverhill to assist Haverhill police officers in finding the driver of a Hyundai Elantra, who had failed to comply with a Haverhill police motor vehicle stop. Soon afterward, NHSP Trooper Jawara Conde observed the car driving southbound toward him. Conde activated his cruiser’s emergency lights in an attempt to stop the Hyundai “as the vehicle was swerving in and out of both the southbound and northbound lanes.” “The driver ultimately struck Trooper Conde’s cruiser, before reversing in an apparent attempt to flee the scene.” “The driver then attempted to turn the vehicle around but instead went off the road and became stuck in a ditch.” The driver was identified as Ordway, who was taken into custody and transported to the Grafton County House of Corrections. Conde was uninjured. The NHSP cruiser incurred several thousand dollars in damage.
